Prosecutor's Office to Offer Training for West Orange Religious Leaders

The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office will host its “Spring 2015 Citizens and Clergy Academy,” a six-week training program, beginning on Tuesday, April 28.

According to a release, the training program is designed to familiarize clergy and other community members with the day-to-day operations of the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office.

The program will be open to residents of Essex County.

“Sometimes people who do not have contact with the court system are unaware of the services provided by the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office,” stated Acting Prosecutor Murray. “The Citizens and Clergy Academy helps members of the community gain a better understanding of how our office works and prepares them to serve others who interact with law enforcement.”

Classes will be held from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, which is located 50 West Market Street, 3rd Floor, Newark, New Jersey. Each class is 2.5 hours.

A certificate will be awarded to each participant who completes the course at a graduation ceremony on June 9.
