A West Orange man has been sentenced to prison after causing a fatal crash in Cedar Grove in 2010.
Alberto Nunez, 23, of West Orange, was sentenced in Newark after causing a fatal accident in 2010 that killed his friend and passenger Adreana Nelson, according to a report from NJ.com. Nunez was sentenced to 30 months in prison for causing the fatal crash.
On Sept. 18, 2010, Nunez was speeding in Cedar Grove and crashed his 1995 Acura Integra into a pole on Ridge Road around 1 a.m., causing Nelson to be ejected from the backseat of the vehicle, the report said. A third passenger was in the vehicle, but the report did not identify the third passenger. Both Nelson and Nunez were 18 years old at the time of the accident.
