Driver Overturns On Garden State Parkway In Bergen County: Police

A driver was taken to the hospital after their car overturned on the Garden State Parkway in Bergen County on Monday

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A driver was taken to the hospital on Monday morning after skidding off the Garden State Parkway in Woodcliff Lake and overturning, said police.

According to State Police Trooper Christopher Postorino, a Nissan driver was heading north on the Parkway after 9 a.m., "lost directional control of the vehicle," ran off the roadway to the right, and overturned.

The driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to an area hospital, Postorino said.

According to the state DOT, one right southbound lane of the Parkway, near Exit 171 in Woodcliff Lake, was still closed around 10:15 a.m. But the lane reopened by 11:45 a.m., Postorino confirmed.

No further information was available, Postorino said.
