• Wildwood the Latest Town to Join Central 911 Dispatch (capemaycountyherald.com) — Wildwood Crest has joined Cape May County’s central 911 dispatch system, meaning local emergency calls are now handled through the county’s upgraded center at the airport complex. Wildwood made the same switch on Dec. 10, with all remaining city dispatchers moving to county jobs at equal pay and benefits, avoiding a costly equipment overhaul while maintaining the familiar non-emergency number.
   

• N.J. man sent to prison for DUI crash with injuries in Worcester (trentonian.com) — A 25-year-old Wildwood Crest resident has been sentenced in Pennsylvania to 1½ to 3 years in state prison after pleading guilty to DUI-related aggravated assault in a 2024 three-vehicle crash. Prosecutors said he fled the initial Worcester Township crash, was later found after rolling his pickup, and two other drivers were hospitalized with injuries.
