• Wildwood the Latest Town to Join Central 911 Dispatch (capemaycountyherald.com) — Wildwood has officially shifted all 911 dispatching to Cape May County, closing the city’s own police communications division while keeping all remaining dispatchers employed at the county center. Officials say the move avoids over $1 million in equipment costs, aligns Wildwood with neighboring island towns, and should not affect response times or the familiar non-emergency phone number.
   

• Wildwood Historical Society Seeks Funds for Tram Car No. 8 Restoration (wmmr.com) — Wildwood’s beloved Tram Car No. 8 could get a new lease on life if the Historical Society can raise enough money for a full restoration. The group plans to return the vintage Sightseer tram to its original look and display it at the Pacific Avenue museum, but needs donations and website purchases from locals to overcome storage, transport, and building-modification challenges.
