Anchors Tiki Bar Will Have Its Grand Opening Next Tuesday
Ribbon cutting is 5 p.m. July 30. There will be live music from Bill & Andy, an empanada food truck, a pizza truck and ice cream:
WOODBRIDGE, NJ — Woodbridge's new town-owned tiki bar on the Arthur Kill has been open and serving daily, but next Tuesday, July 30 will be its official grand opening.
This was announced Friday morning by Woodbridge Mayor John McCormac.
Of course, we're talking about Anchors, the new open-air pavilion tiki bar Woodbridge Township built on the Sewaren waterfront.

Next Tuesday evening, there will be live music from Bill & Andy, plus an empanada food truck, an ice cream truck and Jersey Boys pizza truck. Come by at 5 p.m. to see the ribbon cutting. No food is served at Anchors; there are rotating food trucks. Customers cannot bring their own food in from outside.

Anchors currently serves canned alcoholic drinks only, and has four draft beers on tap. See a photo of their full menu above. Their bar list includes canned beer, canned wine and drinks with spirits (gin, rum, etc.).
They plan to start launching frozen drinks soon. They also have soft drinks available and water/sparkling water. Anchors has lots of big-screen TVs, and free WiFi for customers.
Anchors tiki bar is located at 616 Cliff Road in Sewaren, and it's open seven days a week, Monday - Thursdays, 4 - 10 P.M., Friday 4-11 P.M., Saturday noon - 11 P.M. and Sunday noon - 10 P.M.
It's breezy spot that overlooks Alvin P. Williams Memorial Park, with the Woodbridge dog run right nearby. Dogs are welcome at Anchors, but they must be on a leash.
