NJ Senior Olympics: Athletes Wanted For 2022 Games In Middlesex County
The 2022 Games feature competition in 23 sports, and is a qualifying event for National Senior Games in Pittsburgh next July.
WOODBRIDGE, NJ — Athletes 50 and over from across the state are invite to compete for a medal at the annual New Jersey Senior Olympics.
The 2022 Games are September 9-11 in Woodbridge Township and include 23 featured sports in male and female competition groups. It's a qualification event for the National Senior Games in Pittsburgh next July.

Age groups are in five-year increments, beginning at 50-54 and ending with the 90-plus division. Top finishers in all age groups will be awarded gold, silver, or bronze medals.
Athletes may enter as many events as they want, but are cautioned not to enter events that will overlap in time:

"It is not the responsibility of the NJSO to wait for athletes who are late for their competition. Participants must check in at the Registration Area sometime throughout the weekend. This may result in a forfeit if you do not show up on time."
The registration deadline is Aug. 27, 2022. There is a $40 general registration fee, which covers general registration for three events — some of these, including pickleball and golf, require an additional fee.

Woodbridge has hosted the NJ Senior Olympics since 2007.
The Games also include competition in Basketball, Billiards, Bocce, Bowling, Cornhole, Darts, Horseshoes, Miniature Golf, Racquetball, Swimming, Table Tennis, Tennis, Team Softball, Track & Field, and Volleyball (Indoor/Beach).
Venues include the Woodbridge community center, Woodbridge and JFK high schools, Woodbridge Center Mall, Warren Park, Woodbridge Bowling Center, Brookdale Park, Frank Pelzman Park in Avenel, and Ash Brook Golf Course in Scotch Plains.Click here for venue directions from around the state.
