Grandson Killed Grandmother In Her Home In Perth Amboy: Prosecutor
The Middlesex County Prosecutor now says Raymond Maldonado, 34, is charged with first-degree murder in the death of his grandmother:

PERTH AMBOY, NJ — The Middlesex County Prosecutor now says Raymond Maldonado, 34, is charged with first-degree murder in the death of his grandmother, Awilda Verrette, 80.
Verrette is the 80-year-old woman who was found dead in her home in Perth Amboy Sunday afternoon.
At 1:12 p.m. Sunday, June 30, Perth Amboy Police received a 911 call from the woman's relative, who said they found her unresponsive in her home on State Street.

Verrette was pronounced dead at the scene. The prosecutor is not releasing how she died.
Maldonado, 34, was arrested without incident Monday and is charged with first-degree murder and fourth-degree violation of a restraining order. He is currently being held at the Middlesex County Jail.
