The mayor said he's having conversations with managers at Shop Rite and Stop & Shop to coordinate better ways to help customers maintain at least six feet of social distance.

Shanley said he's also working with stores to help them limit how many people are allowed in a store at one time without creating a queue outside.

"The stores were too crowded this weekend and 6 foot distances were not maintained," he wrote.

Shanley also said his father is stuck in Florida with a 102 degree fever but has not been tested for the COVID-19 virus.

"Please say a prayer for him as he has a compromised immune system and is 75. Hopefully it’s not the virus," Shanley wrote. "God Bless my Dad and all of Wyckoff."
