Election Prep: District 40 Candidates' Forum This Week

Voters will get the opportunity this week to learn more about the candidates running for state assembly and senate seats in the state's District 40.

The League of Women Voters of Bergen County is putting on a D40 Candidates' Forum Wednesday at the Northwest Bergen Senior Activities Center in Midland Park at 12:30 p.m.

According to LWV Leader Barbara King, attendees will be able to submit questions for the two D40 senate candidates, incumbent Republican Kevin J. O’Toole and Democrat William Meredith Ashley, and the four candidates for two assembly seats, incumbent Republicans Scott T. Rumana and David C. Russo, and Democratic challengers Leo Arcuri and Anthony J. Galietti.

The forum is free and open to the public, but locals are asked to call 201-445-5690 beforehand to reserve a seat.

District 40 includes both Wyckoff and Franklin Lakes.
