Dr. Henry Velez, the Democratic candidate for Wyckoff Township Committee, invites residents to join him from 2 to 5 p.m. Oct. 3 at the Blue Moon Cafe, 327 Franklin Ave.
Velez vies with Republican Mayor Rudy Boonstra on the fall ballot for a three-year governing body seat. Residents do not directly elect the mayor; rather, Township Committee members choose a mayor for a year term at their annual reorganization meeting.
Velez will answer questions and share ideas about the future of Wyckoff at Blue Moon. Refreshments will be served. There is no cover charge, but campaign contributions will be accepted with appreciation at this event.
