How Much Is The Average Franklin Lakes Property Tax Bill?
Franklin Lakes' taxes have gone up recently, but significantly than the 2 percent cap Gov. Chris Christie put into effect in 2011.
FRANKLIN LAKES, NJ — Franklin Lakes residents pay a lot in property taxes and more often than not, they increase annually.
The average Franklin Lakes homeowner's property tax bill went up from 2017 to 2018, data released this week by the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs shows.
The average Franklin Lakes homeowner paid $17,264 in 2018, a 0.14 percent increase from 2017 and 19th highest in New Jersey.

Between 2017 and 2018, the average New Jersey homeowner's tax bill rose to $8,767, an increase of $77, less than 1 percent, which was an improvement over the 2016 hike of 2.3 percent. It was lower than the 2 percent cap former Gov. Chris Christie put into effect in 2011, according to the analysis.
