Wyckoff Named Top Town For NJ Families: Report

Wyckoff was named in the top 50 towns in New Jersey.

WYCKOFF, NJ — Wyckoff was named among the best towns for families in New Jersey, according to a new ranking published by New Jersey Family magazine.

Wyckoff was ranked No. 48. Wyckoff has a school system that consistently receives high marks from the state. The township has several locations on the National Register of Historic Places, including the Terhune House, Van Gelder House and the Caims-Whitten-Blauvelt House, which was built in 1770.

The township is also a stop for the annual Toys for Tots train, the annual gift-giving donation drive sponsored by the U.S. Marine Corps.

The magazine looked at towns with more than 1,500 residents, and took into account several key factors, including average home sale price, crime rates, school performance, commute time, and diversity. They then took that data to find the different rankings, including the best overall, best for commuters, and best large, mid-sized, and small towns.

Glen Rock was named the second best town for families in New Jersey and was ranked highest in Bergen County.
