Wyckoff Recycling Center Reopens With Limited Hours

The recycling center closed in late March in an effort to slow the spread of the new coronavirus.

WYCKOFF, NJ — The Wykoff recycling center is set to reopen next week after closing in late March in an effort to slow the spread of the new coronavirus.

On Thursday, the Township of Wyckoff announced the recycling center is reopening April 13 and will serve residents during limited hours.

The facility will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday, the township said in a Facebook post.

The center will only accept the following items:

  • Grass clippings
  • Leaves
  • Vegetative waste
  • Clothing
  • Shoes
  • Books
  • Electronics

Items that are usually deposited in a curbside bin — plastics, cans, paper and metal — are not accepted at the recycling center.

The township said the recycling center will refuse service to anyone who isn't wearing a face mask or protective covering, and it will limit the number of vehicles allowed inside at a given time.
