FBI: Las Cruces Man Pleads Guilty To Two Bank Robberies (ladailypost.com) — A Las Cruces man has pleaded guilty in federal court to robbing two banks, including a PNC Bank branch in Las Cruces earlier this year. Investigators tied him to the crimes through fingerprints and surveillance, and two alleged accomplices face or have pleaded to related conspiracy charges, with all looking at potential multi-year federal prison sentences and supervised release.
   

2. Las Cruces, Mayfield boys basketball each win tourneys during Dec. 8-13 (lcsun-news.com) — Las Cruces high school basketball fans just saw a big week, with the Bulldawgs and Mayfield boys each capturing tournament titles and Organ Mountain and Centennial reaching championship games. Las Cruces doctors push for legislation to stem New Mexico doctor shortage (newsfromthestates.com) — Las Cruces physicians are pressing state lawmakers in Santa Fe to overhaul medical malpractice rules and cut taxes on medical services, warning New Mexico is rapidly losing doctors. They shared data on shortages affecting Doña Ana County and beyond, and a Las Cruces lawmaker helped steer next steps as proposals like capping damages and shifting taxes, including a possible soda tax, were debated.
