• Governor Hochul announces toll enforcement crackdown, 170 vehicles seized across New York (cbs6albany.com) — State police recently impounded 35 vehicles and issued 308 tickets during a toll-enforcement sweep on I-87 in Albany, part of a broader statewide crackdown on toll evasion and fake plates. Overall, four fall operations seized 170 vehicles and recovered tens of thousands in unpaid tolls. Drivers are urged to keep registrations current and pay tolls on time. 
• Historic Powerball jackpot run brings $79M to NY (news10.com) — From Albany, state officials report that New York’s share of a historic $1.8 billion Powerball run will send about $68 million to K–12 public schools and $11.7 million to lottery retailers. Ticket sales in New York topped $194 million, with 99 big winning tickets statewide, underscoring how massive jackpots can indirectly benefit Capital Region classrooms and businesses.
