1 Woman Killed, 2 Others Injured In Astoria Shooting

No arrests have been made in the Steinway Street shooting, according to police.

ASTORIA, QUEENS — New York City police are investigating a fatal shooting that left one woman dead and two others injured early Thursday morning.

According police, the shooting happened shortly after 4 a.m. in front of 23-66 Steinway St.

After arriving to the scene, police found the first victim, a 27-year-old woman, with gunshot wounds to her torso and led.

Police said another 27-year-old woman was shot in the knee.

A third victim, a 27-year-old man, was shot in the buttocks and left shoulder, police said.

EMS transported the first victim to Mount Sinai Hospital in Queens where she was pronounced dead, according to police.

Police said the other two shooting victims were transported to NYC Health & Hospitals in Elmhurst in stable condition.

The motive for the shooting was not immediately known.

According NYPD, they've currently made no arrests, and the case remains under investigation.

The identity of the deceased is pending family notification.
