2 Dead In Suspected Murder-Suicide Near Astoria Park: Police

Two people are dead in a suspected murder-suicide in Astoria early Thursday, according to the police.

ASTORIA, QUEENS — Two people are dead in a suspected murder-suicide in Astoria early Thursday, according to the police.

First responders discovered a 96-year-old woman and a 50-year-old man stabbed to death inside a home on 14th Place just south of Astoria Park about 10 a.m., according to NYPD and FDNY officials.

The NYPD is investigating their deaths as a murder-suicide but hasn't yet confirmed the relationship between the two victims, a police spokesperson told Patch.
