A driver threw a can of soda at an NYPD traffic cop who was giving him a summons for double parking on Steinway Street, according to police.
ASTORIA, QUEENS — An Astoria driver threw a can of soda at an NYPD traffic cop who was giving him a summons for double parking, according to police.
The unidentified man is wanted for assault for the incident last week, which unfolded on Steinway Street between 31st Avenue and Broadway, police said in a news release Thursday.
The traffic cop was issuing a summons to the driver of the double-parked Honda the afternoon of Oct. 14 when he threw a soda can at her and raced off, according to police.

Police said the man's car has a New Jersey license plate with the number 770852R.
