Missing Astoria Boy Found Safe, Police Say

A 13-year-old boy who had been reported missing from an Astoria housing complex has been found safe, police said.

Update, 4:28 p.m. Wednesday: Jonathan Green has been found in good condition, police said. No other details were shared.


ASTORIA, QUEENS — A 13-year-old boy has been missing from his home in Astoria for two days, according to police, who asked for help finding him.

Jonathan Green was last seen around 9 a.m. Saturday leaving his home at 4-10 27th Ave.: part of the NYCHA Astoria Houses.

Police described Jonathan as Black, about 5 feet, 3 inches tall and 120 pounds, with short black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue Yankees hat, a black jacket, a light blue sweater and black and white sneakers.

The NYPD shared a photo of the boy and asked anyone with information about his whereabouts to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
