A man was robbed at gunpoint in broad daylight on a Long Island City street steps from Gantry Plaza State Park, according to police.

LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS — An "armed and dangerous" mugger robbed a man in broad daylight on a busy Long Island City street, according to police.

The thief pulled a gun on a 33-year-old man on Center Boulevard, steps from Gantry Plaza State Park, on June 22 just before 1 p.m., the NYPD said Thursday.

The mugger took the man's cell phone, money and other "miscellaneous items" and walked south along North Basin Road, an NYPD spokesperson said.

The victim suffered a scratch on the left shoulder that did not require hospitalization, police said.

Police tweeted a photo of the suspect on Thursday, saying that he should be considered "armed and dangerous."
