Burglar Nabs $8K Worth Of Goods From Don Coqui In Astoria: NYPD
A man broke into Don Coqui in Astoria and nabbed more than $8,000 worth of goods, then attempted to repeat his heist the next weekend.

ASTORIA, QUEENS — A man broke into Don Coqui in Astoria and nabbed more than $8,000 worth of cash, liquor and walkie-talkies — then attempted to repeat his heist the following weekend, according to the police.
The robber first targeted the restaurant and nightlife spot the evening of Saturday, March 21, breaking down the front door to get in and stealing thousands of dollars of goods, the NYPD said.
He tried to strike again about 1:45 a.m. on Friday, March 27, by trying to cut a chain on the front door with a power saw, but he failed to make it inside, according to police.

The NYPD on Friday released surveillance images of the burglar in an effort to identify him.
