Buy Roses That Last For Years At This Astoria Boutique
The preserved roses boutique in Astoria, which plans to open in September, will sell hand-picked roses that last up to three years.

ASTORIA, QUEENS — What was once the plain brick facade of a real estate broker's office in Astoria, is now a brightly decorated preserved roses boutique.
iRoses NYC told Patch that it's putting the finishing touches on its shop at 31-85 32 Street in Astoria — including a rose mural and bright blue sign — before opening in September.
The soon-to-be boutique will sell hand-picked roses from Ecuador that have been preserved to last up to three years, according to the shop.

Whereas most fresh flowers might wilt after a couple of days, preserved roses have been processed to keep their fresh look for several years.
The process maintains the flower's "color, shape, and touch like fresh cut flowers," iRoses says, adding that the arrangements are also a nice option for people with pollen allergies, since the preservation process removes pollen.

Preserved flowers are known to be considerably more expensive than your average bodega bouquet, but iRoses doesn't have pricing information publicly available yet and didn't immediately respond to Patch's pricing inquiry.
