ASTORIA, QUEENS — Astoria's 31st Avenue Open Street is closed for the season, but the street's organizers extended the deadline for community feedback.

Neighbors now have until Jan. 30th to fill out the survey, which the 31st Avenue Open Street Collective — the group behind the public space — is using to inform its next season.

The survey, which includes photos of various community events that took place on the street, asks questions about future programs, possible safety improvements, and when people want to see the street return.

Answering these questions, which shouldn't take more than 10 minutes, comes with a neighborhood perk: Entry to a lottery for a $50 gift card to Mom's Restaurant, a local business partner.

After hosting a small business-focused holiday market with the Astoria Food Pantry at the end of 2021, the Open Street will likely be closed until early spring 2022, organizers say.
