Police say the 37-year-old man was turning left onto northbound 48th Stree when he hit Szeto, who was crossing the street, police said. (The man had been leaving the parking lot that serves BJ's Wholesale Club and Burlington Coat Factory, according to LIC Post.)
Officers found Szeto lying on the street with trauma across her body. She lived just a couple of blocks away, near the corner of 46th Street and 34th Avenue, according to authorities.
