Free Halal Turkey Distribution In Northwest Queens On Wednesday
The halal meat will be given away on a first come, first served basis starting at 4:00 p.m. at Jackson Heights' Diversity Plaza.
JACKSON HEIGHTS, QUEENS — An Astoria non-profit is handing out free halal meat this week in honor of Thanksgiving.
The Astoria Welfare Society is giving away free halal turkeys, and chickens, on Wednesday, Nov. 24th at Jackson Heights' Diversity Plaza, located at 73-19 37th Road.
Starting at 4:00 p.m., the meat will be handed out on a first come, first served basis.

The free food giveaway is a a collaboration between The Astoria Welfare Society and Empire insurance, which is sponsoring the event.
