Jane's Walk 2023 Will Take New Yorkers On A Culinary Tour In Astoria
The Municipal Art Society is hosting over 160 walks in New York City from May 5 to May 7, honoring the writer and activist Jane Jacobs.

QUEENS — An urban-oriented event honoring the writer and activist Jane Jacobs will guide New Yorkers in Astoria through the best eateries in the neighborhood.
The Municipal Art Society is hosting over 160 walks in New York City from May 5 to May 7 to celebrate the life and history of New York City.
This year, participants interested in the city's vibrant food scene will take part in the event's "Ethnic Eats Walking Tour of Astoria." Tickets for the guided tour are sold out.

The group will visit locations such as the Maltese Center, where rabbit stew dating from the Phoenicians is served, and the Czech Bohemian beer garden. The tour will also walk around Little Egypt to taste its baklava and souvlaki trucks.
The walk will be roughly two miles starting from Ditmars Boulevard and ending at Max Bratwurst and Bier on 30th Avenue.

“We all know that New York City is the greatest city in the world and our fabulous neighborhoods are what make it so amazing," said Elizabeth Goldstein, President of the Municipal Art Society of New York. "The Jane’s Walk festival celebrates our neighborhoods with walks led by the best guides you could ask for: actual New Yorkers volunteering their time and passion for the city we all love."
Other walks in Queens include a tour of Flushing, a walk through Fresh Pond Road, and "A Night in Tunisia: In Search of Dizzy Gillespie."
