A woman was robbed at knifepoint at the Queens Plaza subway stop Sunday, police said — the station's second frightening crime within weeks.
LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS — A man robbed a woman at knifepoint at the Queens Plaza subway station early Sunday, according to police, who asked for help identifying the suspect.
The robbery unfolded around 5:45 a.m. on a staircase leading into the station, when an unidentified man approached the victim, a 31-year-old woman.
The man took out a knife, threatened the woman, and demanded cash, police said. The woman gave him $200 and the man fled into the subway system, leaving the victim uninjured, according to police.
