LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS — A man was taken into custody Thursday evening after climbing the Queensboro Bridge in a stunt he livestreamed on YouTube, police said.

The climber, who goes by the moniker Smooth Sanchez IRL on YouTube, will face "multiple charges" in connection with the stunt, the NYPD said on Twitter.

"I don't know about you, but wouldn't it be exciting if we could get a great shot of the city?" he said at the start of the 90-minute video. "We would really be the king of New York."
