ASTORIA, QUEENS — A man was struck and killed by a subway in Astoria after slipping while urinating onto the tracks, according to police.

The collision happened around 3:34 p.m. at the 46th Street M-R station on Broadway.

An oncoming R train struck the man, who was pronounced dead at the scene, an NYPD spokesperson said. His identity has not been released.

Police could not say which direction the train was headed, but it appeared to be eastbound, since Forest Hills-bound R trains were delayed after the crash, according to the MTA. M and R trains were running express between Queens Plaza and Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Avenue, also causing delays along the E and F lines, the MTA said.
