Man Hit By Subway Train In Astoria: Police
A man was hit by a train and seriously injured at an Astoria subway station on Monday, police said. Subway service has been disrupted.
ASTORIA, QUEENS — A man was hit by a train and seriously injured at an Astoria subway station on Monday, police said.
It happened around 3:15 p.m. at the Steinway Street M-R station, when the unidentified man was struck by a northbound M train, according to an NYPD spokesperson.
He was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital in unknown condition. It was unclear what led to the collision, but the man does not appear to be the victim of a crime, police said.

Service along the M-R lines were disrupted after the crash, with Queens-bound trains running express between Queens Plaza and Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Avenue as of 4 p.m., according to the MTA.
