Man Punched On Board Long Island City Subway Train, Police Say
Police are looking for a man who punched a 56-year-old passenger on board a Long Island City train earlier this month.
LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS — A passenger was punched on board a subway in Long Island City earlier this month, according to police, who released photos showing a group of people wanted for questioning.
The 56-year-old man was riding a northbound E train on Aug. 2 at around 3:15 a.m. when a group of unidentified men approached him, police said.
One of the men punched the victim in the head, and the group got off the train once it stopped at the 36th Street station, according to police.

The man was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in stable condition, police said.
Police on Wednesday released photos of the group, and asked anyone with information to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). People can also submit tips online or on Twitter, @NYPDTips.
