NYPD Seizes 9 Motorcycles For Reckless Riding Near Astoria Park
Nine motorcyclists got their bikes confiscated by police this weekend for riding recklessly near Astoria Park.

ASTORIA, QUEENS — At least nine motorcyclists got their bikes confiscated by police this weekend for riding recklessly near Astoria Park.
The NYPD took six motorcycles and doled out 19 summonses to a group of motorcyclists riding by Ditmars and Shore Boulevards just before 3 p.m. Saturday, according to a spokesperson.
Of the six motorcycles police seized, two turned out to be stolen, NYPD Chief of Department Terence Monahan said in a tweet.

Officers with the NYPD's 114th Precinct in Astoria nabbed another three motorcycles near the park on Sunday, according to a tweet.
