LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS — The Queens-bound tube of the Midtown Tunnel briefly closed Wednesday morning after an SUV flipped over and blocked both lanes, according to MTA officials.

The crash happened just after 9 a.m., prompting a roughly hourlong closure of the eastbound roadway as workers moved the SUV and cleaned up debris from the crash, an MTA spokesperson told Patch.
