Queens Man Shot And Killed In Broad Daylight In Astoria: NYPD
The 20-year-old man was shot in the chest, torso and arm on Saturday afternoon, police say.

ASTORIA, QUEENS -- A 20-year-old Queens man was fatally shot on a street corner in Astoria in broad daylight, police said.
Jerrel Lewis, of Long Island City, was reportedly shot in the chest, torso and arm on Saturday afternoon near the Ravenswood Houses, an NYPD spokesman told Patch. Officers responding to a 911 call about the shooting at around 4 p.m. found Lewis lying unconscious on the street corner at 36th Avenue and 14th Street, police said.
Medics rushed Lewis to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Police don't yet know what led up to the shooting.
