Restaurant Deliveryman Dies After Crashing Motorcycle In Astoria
The Woodside man died Wednesday night after he crashed his motorcycle into a minivan, according to police and news reports.
ASTORIA, QUEENS — A restaurant delivery worker riding his motorcycle through Astoria died Wednesday night after crashing into a minivan, according to police and news reports.
Woodside resident Mariano Canales was heading east on 24th Avenue on a blue 2020 Yamaha Chappy scooter about 9:15 p.m. when he struck the passenger-side door of a minivan crossing the avenue on 33rd Street, police said in a news release.
EMS rushed Canales, 27, to Mount Sinai Queens, where he died.

The 73-year-old man driving the minivan was unhurt.
