RFK Bridge To Close For 20 Minute Increments On Friday Morning
The MTA urged drivers to take a different route from Queens to Manhattan, and told travelers to expect delays on the M60 bus to LaGuardia.

ASTORIA, QUEENS — Driving from Queens to Manhattan, or taking the bus to LaGuardia Airport, is going to be a little more challenging on Friday morning, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority is warning drivers.
The Robert F. Kennedy Bridge, formerly the Triborough Bridge, will be intermittently closed from 12:01 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 3rd as part of routine preventative maintenance, the agency said in a news release.
During the five hours, the MTA will conduct bridge lifts to test the bridge's mechanical function, which means that the span is fully closed for 20 minutes at a time.
