SEE IT: Man Runs Off With $20K Worth Of Jewelry From Astoria Shop
A man was caught on video running down Broadway clutching trays of jewelry he'd stolen from an Astoria shop.
ASTORIA, QUEENS — A man was caught on video running down Broadway clutching $20,000 worth of jewelry stolen from an Astoria shop.
The thief got his hands on the baubles after shattering the glass display window of KA Jewelry, at 30-04 Broadway, midday on Sept. 2, police said in a news release.
He grabbed two trays of jewelry, containing about 50 pieces worth into the five figures, then ran off, according to police.

Police released surveillance video Thursday of the robbery in an effort to identify the jewelry thief.
