Senior Disappears After Entering Astoria Subway Station: Cops

Paraskevas Kokkinakos, 78, was supposed to board an N train Saturday morning but hasn't been seen since, police say.

ASTORIA, NY — A Ditmars man went missing after entering an Astoria subway station on Saturday, according to police. Paraskevas Kokkinakos, 78, was supposed to board a Manhattan-bound N train at the Ditmars Boulevard stop that morning, the NYPD said.

But Kokkinakos, who lives on 48th Street near Ditmars Boulevard, hasn't been seen since he entered the station at 8:30 a.m., according to police.

Kokkinakos has a thin build, stands 5-foot-4 and weighs 140 pounds, the NYPD said. He has gray hair, brown eyes and a scar on his nose, and was last seen wearing black pants and a dark green overcoat, police said.
