Support LIC Artists With New Non-Profit Membership
Culture Lab LIC launched a five-tier membership program this month, with new ways (and incentives) to support local artists.
LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS — There's a new way to support local artists as of this month.
Culture Lab LIC, an arts non-profit that serves as a rehearsal, performance, and gallery space for local artists, launched a five-tier annual membership program in February ranging from $50 to $1,00 for the year.
Depending on the tier, membership includes swag, $2-off drinks, early exhibition viewings, and discounted show tickets (like a production of William Shakespeare's "The Winter's Tale" by the Queens-based theater troupe, Rude Grooms).

Culture Lab LIC offers most tickets on a sliding scale, including its Tuesday night "LIVE at Culture Lab LIC" concert series; a pay-what-you-will (with suggested $10 donation) recurrent event that viewers can watch at home or in person.
There's also some free events, like a free gallery opening on Feb. 12th from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. for "A Black Perspective on the Modern World" — the non-profit's next gallery show celebrating the work of Black artists and performers in honor of Black History Month. The show will be open through Feb. 27th.
