Thieves Distract Woman And Snatch Her Purse At Queens Bar: NYPD

The two suspects swiped the woman's purse while chatting with her at a Sunnyside bar on Christmas Eve, police say.

SUNNYSIDE, QUEENS -- The NYPD is searching for two thieves who stole a woman's purse on Christmas Eve while distracting her in conversation at a Queens bar.

Police said the 34-year-old woman was at Side Track Bar and Restaurant in Sunnyside at around 3:30 a.m. when a man and a women approached her and began making small talk. While the victim was distracted, the woman snatched her purse from a chair and the pair fled from the bar on Queens Boulevard, cops said.

The NYPD released surveillance footage of the two suspects: A dark-haired woman in a tan trench coat and a bearded man in a winter hat and light sweater jacket.
