Video: Wild Astoria Shootout Leaves Man With Gunshot Wound, Police Say
An argument on an Astoria block turned violent early Monday morning when two men whipped out guns and began to shoot, according to police.
ASTORIA, QUEENS — Disturbing new footage shows a wild shootout on an Astoria street that left one man with a gunshot wound in his stomach, police said Wednesday.
Surveillance video shows bullets whizzing through the air on 41st Street near Astoria Boulevard South shortly before 2 a.m. Monday, police said.
Violence erupted after a group of at least three people got into an argument and one man drew a gun and began to fire at a second, police said.

The second man drew a gun of his own shot the first in the stomach, said police.
The wounded man passed his gun to a third person, who was caught on video running down the sidewalk and firing his gun, according to the NYPD.

The group then ran away and video shows one jumping into a red Dodge Charger, police said.
Police had no information about the severity of the injured man's wounds, but the Daily News reported that he took himself to Mount Sinai Queens Hospital and was charged with criminal possession of a weapon.
