Two different shootings around Northwest Queens over the weekend left two men gravely wounded, according to police and news reports.

ASTORIA, QUEENS — A pair of shootings in Astoria and Long Island City over the weekend left two different men gravely injured, according to police and news reports.
The latest shooting unfolded outside the NYCHA Queensbridge Houses late Sunday, when a man was shot in the face near a basketball court near 10th Street and 41st Avenue, an NYPD spokesperson said.
Two unknown men rode up to the victim on CitiBikes and fired multiple rounds at him shortly before 10 p.m., police said.

The man was rushed to Weill Cornell Medical Center, where he was feared likely to die, police said. There were no arrests, but an investigation is ongoing.
One day earlier, a group of three men wearing masks ambushed a man and a woman near Astoria Boulevard North and 35th Street around 4 a.m. Saturday, the New York Post reported.

The shooting, which happened near the bar Republic Astoria, left a 24-year-old man in critical condition, the Post reported. A woman he was with suffered a graze wound to the stomach, the Post reported.
No arrests have been announced for that shooting, though the suspects were seen driving west along Astoria Boulevard in a gray minivan, according to AM New York. (Police had no information about the shooting when reached on Monday.)
