Where To Buy A Christmas Tree In Astoria, LIC This Year: MAP

ASTORIA-LONG ISLAND CITY, QUEENS — Wooden sheds and pine trees have lined New York City's sidewalks since the day after Thanksgiving; a tell-tale sign that Christmas is approaching.

But, since there's no official map showing where neighborhood Christmas-tree stands are located, Patch asked readers to help us make one by letting us know of any in their neighborhood.

We compiled all of the responses into an interactive map, which shows the perfect place in your neighborhood to find a Douglas Fir or Scotch Pine (we can't help with lugging it down the street or up your stairs, though).

In Astoria and Long Island City, tree stands are open this year on Jackson Avenue and 46th Road near P.S. 1, on 31st Avenue and Steinway Street in front of CVS, and — of course — at Grippo’s Christmas Tree Stand on the corner of 31st Avenue and Steinway Street.
