ASTORIA, NY — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we’re working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

Hero's job: Co-Founder of LIC Relief

Reason for recognition: LIC Relief which has raised over $150k to help save eleven restaurants and fed over 40k people in need. A model that has been so successful it is being replicated by the NYC government and other organizations. LIC Relief also runs a job & school recovery.
One thing to know: Besides founding LIC Relief, Kelly is on the Board of Directors for The Shoebox Project, Co-Vice President of PS/IS 78Q PTA and a local Co-Girl Scout Troop leader. She was named as New York State Senate 2020 Woman of Distinction.
