Woman Killed As She Crosses Notorious Queens Blvd, Police Say
The driver was not arrested, police said.

SUNNYSIDE, QUEENS – A woman was hit and killed as she tried to cross Queens Boulevard in Sunnyside Monday, police said.
Yimei Gao, 73, who lived on 56th Ave, was crossing the notoriously dangerous road near her home at 6:22 a.m., police said. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
She was hit by an SUV being driven in the westbound lane. The car's 38-year-old driver remained at the scene and had not been arrested as of Monday evening, police said.
