Woman Punched In The Face At Astoria Park, Hospitalized: NYPD
Police did not say who punched the 40-year-old, but the New York Post reported that she was injured while breaking up a fight between kids.
ASTORIA, QUEENS — A woman was hospitalized after getting punched in the face at Astoria Park on Friday night, police reported.
The incident happened just before 10:00 p.m., when the 40-year-old woman was walking around Astoria Park, according to the NYPD.
The police didn't give any details about who punched the woman, but the New York Post reported that she was was injured while trying to break up a fight between two kids at the park.

According to the Post, the kids ran away from the park after the woman was injured, leaving her with swelling and pain in her face.
The police said that the woman was taken to the hospital in stable condition. As of Monday Aug. 9 there have been no arrests, the investigation remains ongoing, the NYPD said.
