1 Dead After Hit-And-Run Crash On LI: Police
A hit-and-run crash killed a man while he was crossing the street on Long Island early Saturday morning, Suffolk County police say.
BAY SHORE, NY — A man was killed by a hit and run crash in Bay Shore early Saturday morning, according to Suffolk County police.
A man was attempting to cross Main Street, near Shore Lane, around 2:10 a.m. when he was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene, police said.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. His name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Detectives believe the vehicle involved is a small to mid-size dark-colored SUV, according to police.
