7th Annual Mayor’s Cup To Benefit Save The Great South Bay
Festivities include a multi-class regatta, live music, tarot readers, and more right on the Great South Bay.
BABYLON, NY — Long Islanders can soon experience an evening of waterfront fun while giving back to a gorgeous backdrop.
The Great South Bay Racing Association and South Bay Cruising Club will host the 7th Annual Mayor’s Cup Charity Regatta & Celebration on Saturday, Sept. 9 at historic Long Island Yacht Club, located at 307 Little East Neck Rd S in Babylon.

Sponsored by Lessing’s Hospitality and Blue Point Brewing, the celebration is set on the magnificent waterfront with views to the Robert Moses cross-Bay bridge.

This "jam packed event: will kick off with a multi-class regatta in the morning followed by a VIP Cocktail Hour from 4-5 PM with the gates opening for general admission from 5 to 8 p.m.
Festivities will include live music with the Rockin’ 45s, cold Blue Point beer, specialty cocktails and fresh seafood and mainland delicacies provided by Captree Clam, Verde and Coastal Kitchen, a release said.

Guest will also enjoy top-end Armagnac and Port Wine tastings provided compliments of Columbus Wine & Spirits.
A local tarot card reader will also be available to read your destiny.
Founded by the Long Island Yacht Club in the 1980s, the Mayor’s Cup Charity Regatta "quickly became the Island’s largest attended race each season," a release said.
In addition to its prestigious location, this race offered the largest class for boats that rarely raced. After making a successful comeback seven years ago, this prestigious race has returned to its rightful place among the top races on Long Island.
General admission is $125, VIP tickets are $250 and include a specially curated swag bag. Sponsors are welcome, with customized sponsorship opportunities available.
