Babylon Hibernians Will Host 5K Race To Benefit Food Pantry
Entrants who sign up for the "Halfway to St. Patrick's Day" race next Saturday will be entered into a raffle for a five-day free vacation.

BABYLON, NY—A new 5K race is coming to Babylon, and it's got an Irish theme. Next Saturday's "Halfway to St. Patrick's Day" race is being organized by Babylon Village's Ancient Order of the Hibernians and will raise funds for the Town of Babylon Food Pantry & Beacon House for Veterans.
The race will take place on Saturday, September 25 at 9 a.m. at Southard's Pond Park, on Park Ave. in Babylon.
Jim Killen is the president of the Babylon Hibernians and says that "All runners who register and run, are entered into a raffle to win an all-inclusive four-night, five-day vacation to Club Med."

A kids' race at 8:30 a.m. for "little leprechauns" is free.
Registration is $30 online before Sept. 25 and $35 the morning of the race.
